The Sri Lankan team managed to win the Asia Cup T20 cricket tournament held yesterday between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The captain of the Sri Lanka team won the toss and gave the opportunity to the Bangladesh team to bat first.
Afif Hossain scored 39 runs and Hasan Miraz scored 38 runs for Bangladesh innings. At the end of the scheduled 20 overs, the team managed to collect 183 runs by losing 7 wickets. In bowling, Vanindu Hasaranga and Chamika Karunaratne took 2 wickets each.
Kusal Mendis who entered the field to chase the target of 184 runs scored 60 runs and Dasun Shanaka scored 45 runs. The Sri Lankan team recorded the victory by losing 8 wickets in 19 overs and 2 balls, and the Sri Lankan team qualified for the Super 4 round.
