A one-generator at Norochchola plant will be shut down to save coal.

The Engineers and Electrictiy Board of the plant has decided to close down the relevant section for coal stock saving and planned maintenance activities.

It was further stated that steps have been taken to cover the electricity lost to the national system through other sources. but there will be no change in the current daily 2 hours and 20 minutes power cut.
