Government laboratory tests stalled without "ELISA".

Several hospitals, including Colombo National Hospital, Ridgeway Arya Children's Hospital and Castle Street Women's Hospital, have stalled many blood tests due to a shortage of chemicals.

Because of this, patients are in a lot of trouble as they have to get their blood tested from private laboratories.

Meanwhile, it is stated that the chemical substance called ELISA, which is used to check the presence of pathogenic viruses including HIV before giving blood donated by blood donors to patients, is only sufficient for another week.
