The Lotus Tower will open on September 15.

The Lotus Tower, the tallest building in South Asia The Presidential Media Division announces that operations will begin on September 15.

Nearly 113 million US dollars were spent to build this building and "Colombo Lotus Tower Pvt. Ltd" has taken measures to provide many new experiences to the people with the commencement of operations.

There is a limited opportunity to go up the tower for 500 rupees as ticket values. For Rs 2,000 they can go up the tower without waiting in queues. A foreigner must obtain a ticket of US$20.

A digital cinema hall, famous restaurants, famous commercial banks are established on the ground floor. The 1st floor is for office facilities and the 3rd floor has a conference hall that can seat about 400 people at a time.

The lotus bud-shaped first floor houses a conference hall that can seat up to 400 people, while the top floor is equipped with a revolving elevator. In the highest observation cabin, you can enjoy a new experience “Colombo under the sky”. The Lotus Tower has three of the fastest elevators in Sri Lanka, and it has been designed under Japanese technology.
