A new luxury train called "Ella Odyssey" will run between Colombo and Badulla from the weekend.
Plan to operate this train every Saturday and is scheduled to leave Colombo Fort at 05.30 am and reach Badulla at 3.55 pm. It leaves Badulla every Sunday at 09.50 am and reaches Colombo Fort at 07.20 pm.
The train will halt at Gampaha, Wayangoda, Polgahawela, Rambukkana, Peradeniya, Kandy, Nawalapitiya, Nanuoyah, Haputale, Diyathalawa, Bandarawela, Ella and Badulla stations. The railway will also stop at tourist attractions because it is the the most popular railway lines among tourists, the Ministry of Transport said.
