The police said that last night two people who came on a motorcycle shot a person in the Aliwatta area.
The person injured by the gunshot died after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. It is said that 26-year-old Ranawaka Arachchilage Hasitha Chaturanga alias "Aliwatte Hasitha" has been killed.
The police said that a dispute between drug-related criminals led to the shooting. Mattakkuliya Police has started further investigations in this regard
