4,977,491 liters of diesel and petrol have been released under the QR system from fuel stations all over the island in the 24 hours that ended at 6 am yesterday.
The total number of vehicles that got fuel there was 595,177 thousand. Out of that, about 1,395,470 liters of petrol were released on motorcycles. That is for 352,474 motorcycles.
The next highest amount of fuel is for cars. Out of which 1,251,220 liters of fuel for 66,596 cars have been issued.
996,737 liters of fuel have been issued to 25,201 lorries and 588,020 liters of fuel to 118,673 three-wheelers.
Also, 122,034 liters of available fuel have been released for 3,218 buses. The amount of fuel issued for 24,488 vans is 472,131 liters. Besides, 151,879 liters of fuel were issued to another 4,527 vehicles.
Through the QR system, the fuel quota for each vehicle owner for a period of one week is updated every Sunday at midnight and it has been informed not to enter vehicles on the Southern Expressway if there is not enough fuel.
