Rudi Koertzen, who works as an elite-panel member of the International Cricket Council, has lost his life in a car accident.
Foreign media reports that the accident occurred while driving his car from Cape Town in Africa to Eastern Cape. He was 73 years old when he died.
He Has umpired 331 international matches and is one of only three umpires to have appeared in more than 100 Test matches.
